Meet our
Students
We’ve welcomed hundreds of students from all over the world to Concordia. They’ve studied diverse fields like Graphic Design, Business and Biomedical Science. Hear about why they love being part of the Concordia family.
I studied in two different countries before I join Concordia. What I have learned from my studies is that the Earth is becoming a global village. And more and more people are moving to work in many countries. This leads me to choose the International or Global perspective so I can join any company around the world. The reason I chose Concordia is that when I considered joining the program, I have seen that the MBA program has core courses and then electives. In the electives ones, you have a wide range to choose from and with some flexibility to suit my needs. With this option, I can still get the concentration I need and at the same time, I can get another course that I may want to study.
I think that the Concordia staff invests a lot in students; they look after us. I love the campus in Mequon, the University is located near the lake, which is a great place to relax. I’ve met so many nice people here. The experience has broadened my horizon and changed my view about many things. My advice to prospective students is that, when you come to the Concordia University, don’t be afraid to venture out and join clubs and societies. You will experience living amongst people from many nationalities and make lifelong friends. Coming here was the best decision I’ve made so far.
After completing 10 years of working experience in one of the Big-4 consulting organizations, I decided to move to the USA to pursue a second MBA degree from Concordia University, Wisconsin with Human Resources and Management Information System as major area of focus. Looking back into my journey at Concordia University, makes me feel proud of what I have been able to achieve. It’s not been an easy journey for sure. It’s been one filled with a lot of ups and downs; happy and sad memories; friends who stood by, friends who didn’t; personal losses and gains; times of burning mid-night oil; times of enlightened learning; and joyous times of success.
From being raised in an extremely protected environment to being alone in a completely unknown country – living, working and learning amidst a mix of people from all over the world with diverse cultures, habits and ways of life – presented a series of challenges that I never thought of in life. The challenges and hardships in this new life of mine has made me much stronger and better equipped for life. One of the best thing about the whole journey was my time at the university where I spent time learning new areas and sharpening my skills. The team at Concordia University has been a great support at every step in the journey. I couldn’t have reached this far without all the help and guidance provided by the leadership team at the university. Being a Graduate Assistant at the university allows me to share my learning and enables me to assist and support fellow students who are progressing through their journeys. As I look forward to the next phase of life post completing my MBA…I sincerely thanks all the professors, academic staff and the leadership team for standing by me throughout this journey.
I chose Concordia because the program they offered for my major is very good, and also because Concordia people are always willing to help and offer you great opportunities.
After my bachelor degree program in my home country, I concluded that I needed to further my academic career. That’s why I decided to pursue a Master’s degree. I chose Concordia University Wisconsin because it is located in a serene environment, away from distractions. The lake view by the university is a beauty of nature to behold.
Another striking feature about the school that intrigued me was its small class size. This gives room for a back and forth conversation of ideas within subject matter by the student and the lecturer. It also lets the lecturer easily identify a student’s weakness and strength, and try to build up the student’s strength.
I love my school and I don’t regret my decision to come here.
Everyone in the Concordia International Center (CIC) has lived and studied abroad, so we get how long and confusing the process can be. That’s why we’re here to help, every step of the way.
